I have the extreme pleasure of singing background vocals with Sara Stranovsky and Sophie Holt in the California presentation of Anais Mitchell’s HADESTOWN.

Hadestown–the folk opera by Anais Mitchell (and recorded collaboration with Ani DiFranco and Justin Vernon of Bon Iver) is coming to California, and special California guests are teaming up to make it happen in LA, Santa Barbara and SF! Featuring Thao Nguyen, Sean Hayes, John Elliott, Šara Stranovsky, Holland Greco, Sophie Holt, and the Hadestown Orchestra/Michael Chorney Sextet.

Anais Mitchell has been working on this project for several years, and has been presenting some tantalizing glimpses in her previous tours. It is a music concert that tells a story from beginning to end and has been delivered to critical acclaim. Finally, we can experience it live in all its twisted, gleaming genius. This classic tale of sinners, Hell, love and redemption denied, interpreted by Anais Mitchell and company.
