The Arms of My Artistry…

 Hello friends,

The time has come to update you on my goings-on.

I have a handful of shows coming up..they’re with 4 different bands.  I guess I’ve diversified!             So when you look at the detailed show schedule in the TOUR section here’s what you                           should know about each of these bands.

At Nic’s Martini Lounge in Beverly Hills – I sing lead on 3 full sets of jazz & pop standards.                 We do many tunes from “Ain’t Misbehavin'” to “Paparazzi”.  This is select Thursdays –                         see the show schedule if you’re interested in coming out.  Admission is free.                                            The musicians in the band with me are quite good.  It’s fun to play with them & ride the aural surf   in new ways.  Michael Papillo is the musical director on this one.

THE STRIPMINERS – I’ve been playing as a side musician & backup vocalist in this band                   for just over a year.  It’s a modern punk / americana mash of fun & goodness.  A vinyl single               has just been released.  We’ll be doing shows in L.A. & Northern California in March.                           Oh yeah, I play guitar, keys, bvs, accordion, and banjo in this band.  Photo by Elizabeth Sloan.           We’re playing at The Viper Room this Saturday, March 3rd.  Buy Tix & get details HERE.

My TRIO! – So, you know about this, but what you don’t know is that we’re working on                       doing some recordings of MISFITS songs.  In the interest of that, we’re going to play                           some of those songs at Cheetah’s strip club on March 9th.  We’re aiming for versions                            that will be good for the dancers there.  Train wreck or Triumph?  It remains to be seen.                     Come out if u wanna watch us STRIVE.  $5 – with Paul Chesne (so you know for sure that it will be fun). Here’s me with my new tenor electric ELEUKE.  The thing is shred-capable, so it’s a whole new era in my uke exploration.

CASINO ROYALE – I am pleased to be going to LAS VEGAS at the end of March to sing with them.  I’ll sing lead on 60’s songs like, “These Boots Were Made for Walkin'”, “I Say A Little Prayer”, and hopefully “Superstar” by the Carpenters.  Whatever.  I just need to get a good wig and it’s on.  Even if I don’t get a wig, it’s still on.  I love Vegas.  There will also be a male lead singer to do all the great tunes from that era that were sung by men.  His name is Paul and he’s bad-ass.  I’ve seen him do it.

Other Info, Press, and Activity:

Did I ever tell you about YELLOW BIRD the song I sang for The Looney Tunes Show?  It wasn’t so long ago.  End of last year, really. It’s been airing on Cartoon Network ever since.  youtu.be/_qF-USy_twQ.  Fu*kin proud of that.  (thank u nikki, drew, and gerald white)

L.A. WOMEN OF ROCK – I was so pleased to be invited to be in this group of rocking women.  SunsetStrip.com did an article on all of us & they used my quote.  The whole list of ladies is at the bottom of the page.  You’d be doing good digging if you looked up each and every one of them.  Here’s a photo by Genie Sanchez. Taryn Nicole Piana did my hair and makeup..  If u need a makeup artist, you should write to her.  Contact me for details.

SO, finally…my Tunnel Vision E.P. is still available on iTunes and Amazon. Buy a copy. It’s only $6, and it helps me when u buy it.

And one last word – I’m taking a class at The Songwriting School Of Los Angeles.  It’s taught by Grammy winner, Tim Fagan.   They have a lot of great classes and smart, successful instructors.  I highly recommend the school.

Oh Yeah! and my friend and co-writer, Clark Dark, has moved to Los Angeles.  We’re in cahoots.  The process is secret.

Thank you for reading.  I hope to see you soon.  Please write to me with your thoughts, feelings, personal updates, etc.
